iOS Release Date & Rumors about new features

Based on history, iOS 14 will be officially be released in the fall of 2020, likely in September. Prior to that date, we expect to see an official announcement previewing iOS 14 at WWDC in June. WWDC 2020 kicks off on June 22nd and will be an entirely virtual event this year. 

Expected new features of iOS 14:

Home screen: in the new iOS 14 apple will allow the apple watch to display all its application on the home screen of the Apple Watch just like iPhones or iPads. 

Fitness App: Apple is going to add new fitness app feature, which will allow its users to download various fitness videos. It will track the workout routine and fitness progress and will display on its home screen. 

New features for messaging: Apple is going to add direct mention option and reacts just like Facebook messenger. We could also see a new feature for marking messages as unread.

Setting third party apps as default: Apple is looking forward to give a big access towards its users. The new iOS 14 may allow its users to make some third party apps as its default application.

Sleep tracking- Health App: Apple is going to add sleep tracker in its Health App. Where the users will be able to set a personalized sleep goal. It will also recommend the users the ways to improve sleep.

Child’s movement monitoring: in the new iOS 14 Apple will add a new feature to its Find My app. It will notify you when someone doesn’t arrive at a specific location at a scheduled time of a day. For example, if your child doesn’t arrive at the school within a specific time, it will notify you.

Car keys: Apple is going to add all new “car keys” feature for the NFC enable cars. Which will allow the users to lock, unlock or start the car. Moreover the user will be able to assign keys to any family member or friend. 

Supported device: it is said that all the iOS 13 supported devices will also support the new iOS 14.
